Yuksel Seeds' testing laboratory has obtained official accreditation from the International Seed Testing Association (ISTA), a recognition that certifies it meets international standards in seed quality assessment.
This accreditation, granted by ISTA after a rigorous technical audit process, confirms that Yuksel Seeds' laboratory in Antalya (Turkiye) operates under globally recognized methods and ensures the reliability, accuracy, and traceability of its analyses. This certification represents a key milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to excellence, innovation, and transparency in the agricultural sector.
“At Yuksel Seeds, we have taken a significant step in line with our strong commitment to seed quality by obtaining ISTA’s official accreditation. This international certification confirms that germination, purity, and other processes carried out in our laboratory—across a range of crops including vegetables, spices, herbs, and medicinal species, including coated seeds—are conducted in accordance with the highest international standards,” said Gökhan Cengiz, Global Head Sales and Marketing, Yuksel Seeds.
“Achieving ISTA accreditation requires establishing a comprehensive system and a continuous improvement process. As the Yuksel Seeds team, we have successfully overcome this challenge by meticulously structuring our quality processes, adopting a data-driven approach, and effectively managing risks,” added Cengiz.
The International Seed Testing Association (ISTA) is an international organization founded in 1924 with the goal of standardizing and harmonizing seed testing methods worldwide. Based in Switzerland, ISTA brings together laboratories, government entities, academic institutions, and agricultural companies from over 80 countries.
With more than 35 years of experience and a robust R&D infrastructure, Yuksel Seeds manages over 800 commercial varieties from 18 species. Its varieties are known for their high yield, quality, disease resistance, and great adaptability.
