The entire event will focus on how and where the horticulture world can connect and grow our great industry.
In conjunction with stands, networking spaces and conferences represented by key stakeholders in the agricultural sector in Australia, the value and merit of many of those who work and support the industry every day will also be recognised through the 2022 National Awards for Excellence will be presented during the Hort Connections Gala Dinner, which will be held in the Great Hall at Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on 8th of June.
The Awards for Excellence acknowledge and recognise the outstanding contributions of individuals and companies to the horticulture industry. Within these awards there are different categories, such as “Grower of the Year”, where our colleague and friend Emmanuel Cafcakis, has been selected as a finalist for the award.

Emmanuel Cafcakis is co-working with the Turkish seed company Yuksel Seeds, trying to transfer the company’s years of international experience to the Australian market. He is currently carrying out trials with the seed company’s products, such as the Quasimodo and Cassarosa varieties (heirloom tomatoes), the latter being a brand that is becoming quite successful in Europe, or other products such as Virginia, Viceroy and Athens in cucumber, which, in a short space of time, is achieving great success in Australian agriculture.
